Overview

Isothane and Home Logic have joined forces and developed LogicFoam LF-105 a cavity wall insulation and stabilisation system that has a 25-year track record of providing improved thermal efficiency and structural stability to domestic properties. It holds KIWA BDA Agrément approval (Certificate number BAW-21-194-S-A-VK). LogicFoam LF-105 is installed by our approved network of contractors. Its closed-cell structure means it is suitable for properties with no damp proof course, homes located in severe exposure zones and buildings on flood plains, having passed the BRE’s flood resilience test. . The KIWA Certificate provides guidance on home types that are suitable for treatment, correct installation, the durability of the product and other major performance factors. This is recommended for use on hard to treat properties.

Solution

LogicFoam LF-105 provides a cost effective solution for properties that are not suitable for standard cavity wall insulation products for various reasons. Often these properties are described as “hard to treat” and previously it was thought that using a more costly alternative such as internal or external wall insulation was the only solution to their insulation needs.

LogicFoam LF-105 is suitable for:

  • Random Stone properties where the cavities are of uneven width
  • Cavities below 50mm.
  • Properties which are exposed to wind driven rain
  • High Rise buildings
  • Buildings suffering from corroded and failing wall-ties.
  • Properties where a chartered surveyor has reported they are not suitable for standard insulation.
  • Properties that are prone to flooding. It is the only cavity wall insulation to pass BRE flood resilience test requirements for homes in flood risk areas
